Wednesday night we carved our pumpkins. This is the part I personally do not look forward to. I don't know if it's the gooey guts inside or the smell or what it's not a fav of mine, the kids sure enjoy it though. It is so fun to watch each one's expression when you take the lid off the pumpkin for the first time. Gross they all say.

Olivia is the first to jump right in and get down and dirty. Ella was right behind ready to feel the slimy stuff and remove the seeds.

Gabe was a little reluctant at first but had fun near the end. He actually has a spoon inside scraping the sides of the pumpkin because he did not want to get his hands dirty.

What is wrong with this picture?? Here I am carving the pumpkins while Mike is roasting the pumpkin seeds. Should we say role reversal? Whatever, I am pretty much the pumpkin carver in this family. Mikes pumpkin seed did turn out pretty good.

YUM!

The finished product, I had the girls draw the faces on their pumpkin and I cut them out. Pretty nice job if I do say so myself.
It is so hard getting all the family together, I think by this time Gabe is a sleep and Emmalie is with Jake and Mike watching a show. Teenagers, gotta love them!

Those kids of yours are so adorable!
What a fun night! I'm impressed with your pumpkin carving skills. I hate pumpkin carving and the boys don't like it either but I insist upon it every year!
I hate carving pumpkins, too. We didn't even carve a single one this year.
Cute! our family did the same thing last week!! With our neighbors the Thomasons! It was a bunch of fun!
