The Winners! Christina, Courtney, Bailey and Kyle ended up with 12 items.
The Loosers! Kaitlyn, Amber, Justin and Jake. This team actually ended up with 13 items however, one of the rules was they only were allowed to collect 1 item per house. They collected a few from each house. Rules are Rules kids!
After we hunted we went back to the Crowder's home for brownies and ice cream and a game of dodge ball. Thanks to everyone who helped make this night a hit!! and thanks to Karen and Theresa for helping me. 
Olivia is the first to jump right in and get down and dirty. Ella was right behind ready to feel the slimy stuff and remove the seeds.
Gabe was a little reluctant at first but had fun near the end. He actually has a spoon inside scraping the sides of the pumpkin because he did not want to get his hands dirty.
What is wrong with this picture?? Here I am carving the pumpkins while Mike is roasting the pumpkin seeds. Should we say role reversal? Whatever, I am pretty much the pumpkin carver in this family. Mikes pumpkin seed did turn out pretty good.
The finished product, I had the girls draw the faces on their pumpkin and I cut them out. Pretty nice job if I do say so myself.
Here is Gabe's preschool buddies and his teacher Ms. Doloris. On the way to school the boys were trying to guess what Ms. Doloris would be. No one guessed a cowgirl. 
We made fun treats for the friends in Gabe's class. Gabe had each bucket picked out for each friend. It is so fun to see them get so excited to give gifts. Ms. Doloris sets up a tent in the middle of her classroom and the kids each trick or treat around the tent. They have so much fun.

I remember when the Las Vegas Temple opened, I was a senior in high school and dating Mike. I was not a member then but, I remember going with my family to check it out. I do not remember much but I do recall the beauty of the temple. That beauty that I remember from back then is still there now. I was able to spend 6 wonderful hours there today, I want to go back soon!
We bobbed for apples, Ella was the 2nd one to pull an apple of the bucket.
Here is Zoe trying too. She had a little harder time because of her braces but she did it!!
Poor Gabe tried and tried he never gave up. Thanks to Damon with a little help he finally was able to sink his teeth into an apple.
After the fun apple bobbing we made spooky halloween houses. I don't know what was more fun the decorating or the licking and eating candy. 
Gabe and Shane are in deep thought, notice the frosting on the sides of their mouths. I think they would dip, frost, and lick, dip frost and lick. I can't believe neither of them got a belly ache from all the frosting they ate.
We were able to beat the rush by waiting just a few days and go today, since we are off on Mondays. We met a few friends from school at Town Square had lunch and enjoyed the movie pretty much all to ourselves. The girls were dancing in the isles. If you haven't seen HSM3 it's a must.

Here is the loot I was able to win, a fix your ticket, (for those of you who do not know but every summer for the past 3 at least, when traveling to Utah I seem to make friends with another officer of Utah.) 3 pilates classes yeah!! NFR tickets and a Red basket with all kind of fun red things in it.
I took this picture on the first day of school and this totally fits the story above. It is hard for me to believe that the first quarter is coming to an end. I think if I look ahead 15 years from now when my house is quiet and clean I will be missing the days when my life was hectic and crazy and wishing I had these days back again.
Here he is at 1 1/2 years old. He was always a happy little guy, and always so fun to be around.
Here is Jake today, this morning he had his favorite breakfast before he left for school, norwegian pancakes and bacon. 
This evening we were able to celebrate his birthday with all the family, grandma and grandpa and the Morters. We went to dinner at the Outback Steakhouse, Jakes choice and came home for ice cream cake. It is always crazy with all the little kids running around but it would not be the same if we did not have family around us. 
The best part of the day was the gifts (of course). Jake was able to score a new phone, it is called the dash. He wanted something that would be easy for texting, because that is what kids do all the time these days. I think Gabe thought his present was the best though, he was so excited to give Jake his present. He got Jake a new Star Wars game for the WII. He was grinning from ear to ear when Jake opened it.
