Top 8 of '08

One of my friends,  Tricia did a post on her top 8 pictures of the year. I got to talking to her and she said I should do this too. However, I was reluctant because my pictures are not nearly like hers. hers are so fun and she always captures her children at the right moment whether they are crying or laughing she always seems to get that shot. I guess that happens when you are a photographer. Anyway, during one of my midnight bright ideas I decided instead of doing my favorite pictures, I will do my favorite memories of the year 2008. Here they go (in no particular order...

I think the most exciting part of the year was when we had 4 inches of snow fall in the Vegas Valley. The newscasters said that we have not seen snow like this for 30 years. Yes and I remember it! I was in first grade and we went out into the courtyard at school and built a snowman. So many memories.  This is my sweet Olivia, she is my busy little girl. She sure makes things fun around our house. She is very responsible and very smart. I love how she loves for me to tuck her in at night before she goes to bed. She is our 8:30 girl. You will always find her in bed at 8:30 at night. I love her huge smile and big blue eyes. You will always find her keeping the peace, if someone wants something she has she will always trade with them.

In May Ella graduated from preschool. Little Buddies Clubhouse is the name of her school. Ms Doloris is her teacher. We have been going to Ms. Doloris since January 2001. Ellas loved every minute of preschool. Ms. Doloris puts on a little graduation for the 5 year olds getting ready for kindergarten. It is so fun to watch them parade aroud in their gowns. Ella was all smiles that day.

It is always so fun to take the first swim of the season. All of my kids are water bugs. New suits, white bodies just what the sun has ordered!!

Gabe finally learned to swim this year and now is a fish. Loves, Loves the water. He is my little baby, but when I say this to him he always corrects me and tells me he is my big boy. He idolizes his big brother Jake. Loves to swim, play video games, cars, legos, going to the park and riding his scooter.
This was taken on the first day of school. Ella started kindergarten and Zoe started 3rd grade. Zoe is always helping out her younger sisters, she never complains. This picture reminds me of me and my sister growing up. When my sister started kindergarten she would cry and cry (kind of like Ella) they would have to come and get me out of my class to help calm Kelly down. My girls do the same for Ella, they always go and check on her just to make sure she is doing alright.

I always love pictures of Mike with the kids, especially when he is showing his tender side. This picture was taken in Hawaii. We have so many fun memories of Hawaii. I think it is the best vacation you can go on with your family.

This year Emmalie reached a mile stone, she is no longer in elementary school, she is in middle school or upper grammer as they call it at her school. She has turned into a beautiful young lady and always is willing to help out. She has developed a love for cooking and helps me out any way she can. She has also started babysitting and is having fun making a little bit of money.

This picture was also taken in Hawaii, I love how it captures Jake. He is in his element, in the water learning to surf hanging out with his cousins what more can a 14 year old want? His smile says it all. Jake is my right hand man, he is always there helping me do crazy projects around the house.  He is very dependable and reliable. He is always helping someone out.

Zoe reached the ripe ol' age of 8. She was able to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Zoe always has a smile on her face is happy to do anything that is asked of her and loves to read. You will find her up late at night reading in her bed. She is always a joy to have around.

Here you have it. My top 8 of '08.  Now, I challenge everyone out there to do the same thing. This was so fun! Thanks Tricia
