Lunches and bags are packed and ready to go...

Yes tomorrow I will be sending 5 of my kids off to school. Ella will be going to kindergarten. She  has been waiting for this day to come since January!!! Tonight Emmalie helped me get the lunches together for tomorrow, luckily I only have to make 4 lunches instead of 5 because Jake (my middle schooler) is too cool to bring his lunch to school, however he informed me today that the cost of lunch went up to $3.00. (I really do not remember how much it was last year but he was a little surprised)

I thought it would be fun to take a picture of what was purchased for this years back to school.

Here it goes...

3 backpacks (Zoe kept hers from last year)
5 new pair of shoes (ok I think I bought a few more but it is late)
3 new lunch boxes
20 pairs of socks (at least)
2 binders
2 pairs of jeans
3 shorts
20 shirts
6 skorts
1 skirt
1 jumper dress
also pens, highliters, paper, folders, pencils am I forgetting anything?
oh, I forgot earings and hair bows.

whew, I am glad that is over.

It kind of saddens me that school is here again. When I had so many little ones running around, everyone would ask how I do it all. My response always was if I can get to September, than I know I can do it. Well, September is here once again we are starting school once again and I only have one child to go, Gabe. If I know now what I did when I had a lot of chaos around, I wouldn't wish for September to come so quickly. Yes, it is so exciting to start a new school year and even more exciting to see your little ones in there fresh new clothes and haircuts and shoes and their excitement in their eyes to start their first day of school. But time goes by so quickly, so I am going to treasure my time with my last little guy this next year because next September will be here before I know it.

Please don't let next September come!!! You are making me cry. You are right we need to treasure this next year and enjoy our 4 year olds. I can't wait to hear how Ella did at school and what she liked!

Jayce isn't going to kindergarten for another two years, but I'm already getting emotional (how will I get through preschool?). Loved the post, Julie! It gives me an idea of what to look forward to -- what an adventure!
